Dedicated to the memory of Sprocket Jones

Sprocket was the best £40 I ever spent. He was the most loving dog I ever met - every night we'd cuddle before going to sleep and he loved to lie on or next to me wherever I was - I couldn't even have the bathroom to myself!
He had a heart murmur for which he was taking medication over the last 2 years, but it also led to kidney disease which I didn't know about until the day before I had to let him go. Even on his 15th birthday, exactly 6 weeks before he left me, other than his heart problems, he seemed healthy and enjoyed playing with his toys.
Everyone that met Sprocket fell in love with him. He had an adorable face and a loveable personality. Even when he was being a little tinker, you couldn't stay mad at him for long!
For the first 6 years of his life, we lived with my parents and another older dog. Then the 2 of us moved into a flat. Now that he's gone, it's just me - I've got smaller animals, but you don't get the same companionship or welcome home from rats and degus, and it's so lonely - Sprocket has left a huge gaping whole in my life, which will never be filled.
I cherish my memories of him, and filling photo frames and making a memory box has helped. I hope once I have his ashes back this will also help.
The photo I've uploaded is him on the day I took him home at 8 weeks and on his 15th birthday.
